They are not classified as dangerous goods and not as ‚biological substance, category B‘ (the UN 3373 declaration applies to infectious samples only!). National, EU-wide and international (third country) requirements apply to their transport

Because these „differences“ are often inherited, they serve to identify genes and disease risks and to produce genetic fingerprints (ID profiles).
